Terms and Conditions
To ensure a safe, calm, and well-managed environment for all the dogs in our care, all owners agree to the following terms and conditions.
Using any Willsbridge Walkies service confirms acceptance of these terms.
General
All male dogs over the age of 9 months must be neutered unless agreed otherwise in writing with Willsbridge Walkies.
All dogs must be microchipped and wear an ID tag displaying the owner’s current phone number and address (but not the dog’s name). In line with licence requirements (boarding), your dog will also wear a Willsbridge Walkies tag whilst in our care.
You must provide the name and contact details of someone able to make decisions on your behalf in the event of an emergency. If neither you nor your emergency contact can be reached, Willsbridge Walkies reserves the right to consult a veterinary surgeon and act in your dog's best interests.
Owners are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred whilst their dog is in our care, except where injury or illness results from Willsbridge Walkies' negligence.
We reserve the right to refuse admission if vaccination records are not provided, are out of date, or are incomplete.
Dogs must be kept up to date with flea, tick and worm treatments and be free from contagious or infectious conditions. Any health concerns must be disclosed. We may refuse admission until satisfied that a condition has been resolved.
Bitches may not attend whilst in season or pregnant.
Photographs and videos may be taken during your dog’s time with us and used on our website or social media. All media remains the property of Willsbridge Walkies.
Working hours are 8:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Earlier drop-off or later collection may be possible by prior arrangement and may incur an additional charge.
Dog Walking
Dogs will be exercised on lead unless prior agreement has been reached and an off-lead consent form has been signed. Off-lead walking always remains at our discretion.
Walks may be shortened or adjusted in extreme weather conditions (such as excessive heat or storms) for the safety of both dogs and handler.
Boarding
Boarding bookings are confirmed only after a successful meet and greet and trial, review of vaccination records, and a signed contract.
Bookings operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Enquiries or provisional dates do not secure a space.
A 50% non-refundable booking fee is required to confirm all boarding stays. The remaining balance is due at least 24 hours before the stay begins.
Trials are charged at the normal rate and must be paid in advance. If a trial is unsuccessful, no refund will be given as the service has already been provided. This also applies if a dog later develops behavioural issues that make continued care unsuitable.
Owners must provide all food, medication and personal items required during their dog’s stay. Any additional supplies required will be purchased following consultation and added to your invoice.
Where a dog normally sleeps in or uses a crate at home, and a crate is provided, we will continue this routine.
During stays we carry out daily wellbeing checks including paws, coat, ears, eyes, teeth and gums, particularly after walks, to check for foreign objects, grass seeds, parasites or matting.
Daycare
Daycare spaces are limited, licensed and reserved exclusively for each individual dog. We operate at full capacity, so each contracted space is held specifically for your dog and cannot be double-filled.
Payment for regular daycare is due at the beginning of each month.
Daycare – Absences & Holidays
Each regular daycare dog may take up to two weeks of their usual contracted sessions per calendar year without charge, provided a minimum of one month’s written notice is given.
“Two weeks” means two weeks of your dog’s normal attendance pattern. For example:
• 1 day per week = 2 days per year
• 2 days per week = 4 days per year
• 3 days per week = 6 days per year
• 4 days per week = 8 days per year
• 5 days per week = 10 days per year
Any absences beyond this allowance will be charged at 50% of the usual fee to retain the reserved space.
Where less than one month’s notice is given, the full fee remains payable.
If we are able to fill a space at short notice, we may offer a credit at our discretion, but this cannot be guaranteed.
Willsbridge Walkies’ own holiday closures are not charged.
Ending a Daycare Place
If you wish to permanently cancel your dog’s regular daycare space, you must give one month’s written notice. Fees remain payable during the notice period.
